This is what the iPhone email client does if you select part of an email and hit reply. If I want to use a .sig and bottom post I need to cut and paste the .sig

I use a .sig specifying the iPhone so people (hopefully) know that I'm not writing a lot because I don't have a real keyboard. 

I like everything about the iPhone email client *except* its top posting.
