Hello noisebridge discuss! Some troll signed my phone # up for a bunch of
auto loan agencies under the name 'john wayne'. I believe this is related
to my recent actions discussing feminist topics in public, on this list. So
it goes.

Just wanted to point out that for every woman who you see being vocal
about, really, anything, there is often a troll sending the message that
this is out of line.

The people on whom this tactic works are already being silenced, so
unfortunately it won't work on me here. This tactic works to silence that
segment through its constant use, though, so it is important for those
employing it to maintain it.

I bring up all this boring bullshit not because I think it is more
interesting than computers, and not because I want you to feel guilty, dear
reader.

I bring this up because we are so close.  I really do think we are all
beautiful and unique snowflakes, with the werewithal to see and undo the
stuff that's holding us all back. All it takes is trying.

If you have been assuming that the systems that make this a problem are too
big to fix through hacking then perhaps, take a pause, and consider that I
do not.  If you have been under the impression that I am angry, or seeking
to harm anyone, or allied against any particular individual, you are sorely
missing my point. I bear no grudges. Adverse impressions are rooted in
shared communication error.

If you are someone with eyes already coming open, and are wondering, what
next?  Now or a hundred days from now - ASK. Publicly.
