[Noisebridge-discuss] Extremely sketchy event w/ bikes just now

Sorry for the ambiguity and too-quick response.

While I understand and appreciate trepidation and good judgment when
deciding to involve the police or any government agencies, Noisebridge will
cease to be a place where I am comfortable if safety-critical help is
delayed or forbidden from anyone at Noisebridge because of another member's
well- or ill-found paranoia.

Maestro's original email outlining protocol was fine by me, but subsequent
emails including the notion of "the police are harmful to every community"
are worrisome. I always worry about anyone who deals in absolutes,
regardless of political leanings.

I still don't have any good answers to the safety situation other than
moving Noisebridge out of the Mission (which seems implausible for now) or
other ideas that go against Noisebridge's anarchistic and open culture.

I don't believe turning unclaimed bikes over to police means that the
police have to enter Noisebridge, but I am unfamiliar with such procedure
so others should clarify if that is the case.
