[Noisebridge-discuss] Semantics

Thanks, Mitch, for being excellent and taking care of the space.

I think that as a do-ocracy it's up to our own best judgment to determine
whether people are making appropriate use of the space, which is where
anarchy comes in yay!

Whether someone is hacking or not, if someone's presence is not wholly
excellent (e.g., talking too loud, being messy) I would say try to approach
the person (if you feel comfortable) and ask that person if he/she would be
quieter / less messy / etc.

Hacking definitely comes first, but if hackers are taking a break or just
talking or if friends of hackers or potential future hackers are visiting
and/or meeting existing hackers I think that is fine. If no one in the
space knows who these people are, then hopefully one person will volunteer
to ask these people who they are, why they are here, maybe convert them to
wonderful Noisebridge members, or otherwise ask them to leave if they have
no interest in hacking or Noisebridge.

The "living room" area is a better place for chat than the long tables in
the main space.

I would say that part of being excellent to one another is to be respectful
of each other, and that includes respecting existing schedules and room
reservations as posted on the wiki.

I know that I am guilty of having a loud voice and not realizing how loud I
am sometimes, and the Noisebridge space itself doesn't isolate sound well,
so if I am ever loud please just let me know!
