I think he was expecting another hackathon like the big one at Noisebridge after Aaron's suicide.

How are you doing?  Me and a few others were a bit worried when you didn't show up at the party (which was super awesome!).

Nice, although describing Circuit Hacking Monday (which they call the "hackathon") as a "non-starter" just goes to show that journalists ought to spend more than one hour researching before they render their verdict. I speak as a recovering journalist myself.
