It didn't work, because I set name="key" on the submit input instead  
of the text input.  (Oops.)  This has been fixed, and unscripted mode  
now works.  I also set window.location on Enter, so scripted mode  
also works.  The Noisegate for Web prototype can now be used for  
unlocking the Noisebridge gate.

Privacy notes:  Requests to www.metamage.com (including the noisegate  
html, css, and js resources)[1] get logged, and I have access to the  
logs.  Submitting an access code (using either mechanism) sends a  
request to pony.noisebridge.net, not www.metamage.com, so I won't  
have any record of what access codes get entered.  However, requests  
to both servers are insecure, so you're trusting the network in both  
directions.  So, don't reuse your Noisegate access code for anything  
important.

Next steps are to further refine the Web app and install it on pony,  
which includes updating the CGI script to output something useful.
