A few weeks ago, Jim was courteous enough to come over and attempt to repair my Korg SP-100. Here's a picture of it slightly taken apart:

The power connector had broken off the main PCB, and the connector itself with its many plastic and metal parts broke apart.

We soldered the connector back into the PCB and I went and bought a new AC adapter (as I had fried the first one), but upon plugging it in, it still doesn't work.

I suspect that the power connector needs further repair, or a complete replacement. I'm not interested in seeing the repair through, which is why I'm giving the piano away to anyone who is interested in taking a whack at it.

When the keyboard worked, it was fantastic! I got it off eBay about 10 years ago for about $650. The Korg SP-100 is a hammer-weighted 88-key MIDI in-out controller with headphone and stereo output. Aside from the non-functioning PCB, it only has a few nicks on its corners. Has a sustain pedal and new AC adapter.

If you're interested in taking it, all you have to do is come pick it up. It's wide and heavy, so you'd probably need to drive over. I live in Hayes Valley. I don't think it would be helpful to just dump it at Noisebridge, but with adequate interest you can convince me otherwise.
