[Noisebridge-discuss] Open source ticket sales and box office projects?

Having run 65 events on EventBrite, it's not bad from an organizer perspective either, and they have an extensive API available.

Is the problem that they charge a fee (comparable to any credit card processor you might use with your own system)?
Or that you want to run the ticket sales system on a private server?
Or that you want to do some funky ticket handling that EB doesn't have built in?
Or just don't want to share the attendee list? (Attendees aren't compelled to give their real names to EB for their tickets to work, fyi)

Also...
Maybe the system used by http://presale.events.ccc.de is Open Source?
