We've yet to hear from anyone that put this into place, but who said
anything about Facebook being "legitimate" or not?

I would imagine that the do-ocratic doer is trying to reduce the
incidence of non-constructive hacking and freeloading loafers from
mooching off of Noisebridge resources in the overnight.
