How about pins?  Easier to change and adapt - a different one for each
"level" - one type for trusted, one for visitor, etc.  Might be easier
and quicker to make, depending on what's available at the time and
space.

I am working very part time at the moment, and probably, if I was able
to come to the physical space, would not have $15 for a T-shirt
without saving up for it.

Sure someone might duplicate them, but that's where knowing who's who
in the space comes in as well.
