I need to order a replacement A798 transistor in a ZIP-5 package. 

I notice the markings on the components for sale usually have A798 on the top line and on the second line either: 14G, 72F, 31G, 73G etc. 

What does the second line designate? Is it a specification of the component such as pinout or is it a manufacturers mark? Should I just ignore it?
