Frankly, if that's how NB needs to operate, it's broken almost beyond
repair as a hackerspace.  Seriously.

I made a partially armored locker out of my shelf.   Sure, I didn't
bolt the hasp from the inside, and I didn't even use much of a padlock
on it.    The point is that I shouldn't HAVE to.

I don't have to at HackerDojo, or
... ATX Hackerspace
... NYC Resistor
... HeatSync Labs
... Pumping Station One
... MITERS
... Crash Space
... CCC, even in the middle of one of their events.

So why should I expect LESS at NoiseBridge?   Look at it for face
value.  This shouldn't be the normal state of things, especially not
the normal state of a place that ostensibly promotes the kinds of
things a hackerspace is supposed to be about.
