No, I've been completely oblivious to this fact, although now that  
you mention it I suppose it does go a long way toward explaining why  
I lost my job in 2008 and had trouble finding one after that.  Could  
you tell me more about this?

And while we're at it, could you remind me what 'mansplaining' is,  
and under what circumstances its occurrence is especially ironic?
