[Noisebridge-discuss] Frantisek's Membership Status

Hi Tom, Andy and all,
If we can drop this tread and start other one without my name in the subject that would be nice, I wanted to start a thread on the topic but definitely under another subject :-)I'm not time wise that I'm in the shape to fallow possible drama of such proportions. I'm bit confused now about the current status of members and what you have to do to keep it, I'm trying to update myself, Tom helped me on the subject ...

I've informed the former treasurer Kelly that I'd like to go on hiatus in 2010 or early 2011, I will try to find that email, that should be my status she confirmed as far as I remember the transfer. As for the procedure of being voting on I will try to contact my former sponsors, they were four in total, at least I can get in touch (Mitch and Jacob) plus some of the members who were around (and still are) when I was active.

If this would set the matter fine with me. To my understanding from Tom's previous email the consensus now says that if I (or whatever member) do not create a wiki page in "member section" they do not have rights to participate in consensus and become sponsors to other people but they do not loose their membership status, correct?

I'm trying to keep up with the development in the place, definitely not all of that is to my liking but I try to comment on that when I can and help as I can but well I'm far away from a physical point of view.

Best of luck, if we can drop this threat that would be nice.

Starting a new thread to call him out as not a member is hardly a
proportionate response to his question buried in a thread somewhere.

The membership lists have never been completely accurate.  We've always
avoided requiring that members of noisebridge hew to any single
technology.  (These are both features, not bugs.)

Frantisek certainly was a member of Noisebridge when he was active in
the eary days of the buildout at 2169, and I'm fairly certain he never
rescinded his membership.  Our systems are somewhat fuzzy (this is a
feature), but I assume dues haven't been paid for Frantisek in over a
year, so perhaps that means he's a hiatus member or similar.

Based on recent behavior I venture that Frantisek is doing a better job
of representing the spirit of Noisebridge than many of the petty
authoritarians who've promulgated the recent spate of rule-making and
so-called consensus.
