[Noisebridge-discuss] Bike visitor in SF

I'm a bike commuter, so I don't really know of the best place to "get" a bike - do you mean renting? buying? Also can't help you with the hanging out part - of course, there's Critical Mass on the last Friday of every month - http://www.sfcriticalmass.org/ but that's about all I know.

I just wanted to chime in and say that yes, Noisebridge has a nice bike rack, it's easy to get there via bike (Market and nearby Valencia have bike lanes), and for an American city, San Francisco is relatively bikeable.

On a related topic, Bay Area Bike Share started a few months ago with daily, 3-day, or annual memberships that allow you to take a bike on unlimited half-hour trips. Great for getting from point A to B, not so much for extended rides. Currently only in the Financial District. I attended an open house of theirs - they're expanding into the Mission and Mission Bay, which is really great news.
