if you care enough about noisebridge to read this email, or to have
feelings about the place at all, and live close enough that you can
actually visit the place in person:

please join up as an associate member. It means you're willing to help
represent noisebridge to newcomers, and that you're willing to let people
in the door and show them around, and offer your help to them while they
get acquainted.

you don't have to pay any money, and you don't have to go through a big
process in the meeting. The only hard part is figuring out who the
members are who can sign your application (it will get easier)

but that's the fun part! You love noisebridge, so learn a little more
about it. Then you can more effectively share it with other people. And
if you're worried that non-members won't feel welcome or will be asked to
leave because no one wants them there, you will be able to step up and
host them any time you're present.

You don't have to be in the same room or hold their hand the whole time,
just be willing to help them (and your community) to solve problems if
they arise. just introduce yourself and help keep them from fucking up.

let's make noisebridge a more welcoming place by stepping up and getting
involved. and actually showing up.
