From what I see, almost everyone was just asking him to consider his language choices, not judging him as a person. Liz was the only one who gave her opinions about his behavior and candidacy to work with crisis/resource centers.

And she did all this _after_ he mentioned his sister and his volunteer work.

So yes, I think it's worth asking if this is relevant to yesterday's conversation as a form of reputation repair, or if Johny's just mentioning it for no specific reason.
