Here's another way to look at the kitchen question: what would make the 
kitchen more conducive to things like food hacking, brewing, chemistry 
and bio-hacking?

(In my experience the stove isn't adequate for things like like brewing 
or sterilization, we've used a turkey fryer, I worry about contamination 
with the fridge, we can't leave things out or mice and roaches get to 
them.)
