If only decisions were this easy to make.

Fortunately or otherwise, allowing one person to do so "X" like this
would be taken as a kind of gateway by others to justify their
behaviour somewhat like or kind of like "X" (eg "He's sleeping in the
space, why can't I?") and it can quickly devolve into accusations of
selective enforcement and witch-hunting.

So, how does one encourage people to be more open and less .. well, stupid?
