I can lead an Arduino For Total Newbies workshop. 50 people max. A weekend afternoon would be best, so people of all ages can attend. 2 hours setup, 3.5 hours of workshop, 60 minutes for stragglers, 90 minutes for cleanup. 1:00pm workshop start time would be perfect, meaning the large area in the West would be needed from 11:00am through 7:00pm.
Cost for participants:
Instruction: free
Materials cost: $35 (plus optional $20 communications cable -- provided for free for use during the workshop)
Do-able?
Best,
Mitch.

We'd love to have a huge variety of classes for this week-long event.
Suggestions / Examples:
* programming
* lockpicking
* CPR
* circuit bending
* cross-stitch / needlepoint
* wearable electronics
* kombucha making
* radio broadcasting
* streaming audio/video
* ...?
* PROFIT
Contact Jeffrey, let him know your availability, and he'll get you on the schedule.
Doing this class-blitz will go a long way towards introducing many different people the way we've upgraded the space, and of course encourage a few donations along the way. :)
Cheers,
Naomi

Come teach at Noisebridge! Help make Noisebridge a place where people will want to come and learn about all things related to hacking.
For the week of August 9 to 15, we're looking for people to teach as many one-off classes as possible, in addition to the regularly scheduled recurring classes. Filling Noisebridge up with classes for a week will send the message that it's a place where everyone is free to come and teach what they know, and learn as much as they can. It should also help with the fundraising effort toward the Reboot:

Have a specific skill that you're good at or known for? Think others would benefit from it? Take an hour or two of your time to teach others.
Run a woodshop class in the shop. Teach how to sew with the sewing machines. Run a photography class and use the darkroom. Here's a full list of Noisebridge's resources: https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Resources - use them to their full potential!
We're especially looking for all-ages or kid-friendly classes to be taught on the weekend.
I'm in charge of finding people to teach classes and help schedule them. Contact me, or noisebridge-discuss at lists.noisebridge.net, with any questions related to the Class-A-Thon.
To teach a class, all you have to do is put it on the Upcoming or Recurring Events list and email noisebridge-announce at lists.noisebridge.net.
