Does anyone here have experience w/ RTOS? I've always wondered if it
were possible-- or legal-- to disable non-GSM-subset hayes commands on
your typical android device. I know that in any case this would involve
a firmware flash or dealing w/ deep internals, so really this is more a
thought-experiment than anything & I thought I'd ask a whole bunch of
hackers. Also whatshisname (Ducati-riding business-ey guy? I'm bad
with names...) suggested I ask here & I was all fuck, right, the mailing
list I've grown to ignore.
Would the FCC or Secret Service come after me for pursuing an interest
in modifying my 'certified' baseband processor? I know that simply
disabling a phones abilty to auto-answer & auto-mute doesn't stop the
ass-fisting-fist-full of exploits the worlds governments claim to have
on every chipset out there.
