Hei, folks :)
I mentioned this project at the meeting on Tuesday but didn't actually share a
link:

The big idea is to acquire a large quantity of RGB LED strips (~45 meters) and
build a fantastic interactive Art Thing inside the skylights of the space:
* Act as a localizer to direct people to things in the space ("Where did the
3d printer workstation get moved to!?")
* Provide some snazzy mood lighting that isn't the godawful incandescents we
have right now.
* Test out some ideas I have about building distributed sensor networks and
"Internet-o-Things" things
* A visual doorbell
* Shiny shiny so shiny~
Some time ago we were talking about Great Pyramid projects at Noisebridge, the
sort of things that draw everyone into the space to put together something
grand. I'm finding that making the space beautiful might be one things of those
after having been inspired by Jarrod's work on the shop and the LED wall from
Dana and James.
