[Noisebridge-discuss] [Rack] Some computers have different computer names on Noisebridge network

It sounds like the DHCP server may be handing out hostnames for the
machines that used to be at that address at one point, and the macs
are renaming themselves as such due to the default apple config.


I ran into this a lot in the dorms at school where there was
replication delay between the DHCP and DNS server, so macs would
rename themselves to whatever the name of the last PTR entry for that
IP was (before dhcp had time to update dns)
