[Noisebridge-discuss] Fwd: Tearing down of lost pet flyers

Let me tell you the story about the SoMa flyer Nazi.

There is a large set of people that work together to tear down nightclub
posters, lost pet flyers, any anything that can be placed on a pole
anywhere in the SoMa area.

It's not that the area is 'devoid of culture' but it is direct and proper
greed and shakedowns. The flyer nazi and his friends will show up at your
venue, demanding that they be the only ones that distribute your flyers. If
you say no, they will tear down all of your flyers the moment you put them
up, until you pay them.

This has been going on in south of market for at least ten years. Most
venues give in and pay the guy.
