Another vote for KiCad, also f*** CadSoftUSA (makers of EAGLE). If you get
KiCad, make sure to install the latest nightly (stable version is years
old).  Always route in OpenGL mode, way better.  If anyone wants a KiCad
tutorial I'd be happy to teach.
