Thanks for info everyone.

  That's great, I thought it was broken way worse.  I can bring my tools over and look at it next week.  NOTE, we do not have ANY needle nose pliers and the dozens of tools I donated last month (lots of screwdrivers and such) were nowhere to be found on monday.  Makes doing these repairs really difficult cause I have to bring my tools from home...just an fyi for everyone to keep an eye on what we have.

Do  you know more about the brass contact it uses?  Id be down to order another on ebay rather than replicate / jerry rig something for such a nice piece of equipment.

I did a little maintenance on the laser cutter a year and a half ago, there should be a brass connection on the left side. .. if you duplicate this connection on the right you will be good to go, do not solder directly to the tube, you can remove the rubber insulation on the right and solder a brass crimp connector to the wire.
