Dear Excellent Humans,

Peter Schwabe (in CC), one of my friends who is an Assistant Professor at
Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (where I'll be starting a Ph.D. in Applied
Cryptography this autumn), will be in SF soon and expressed interest in giving
a talk at Noisebridge. The evening of Thursday, 4 August would probably be
the best time.

Peter specialises in post-quantum crypto, optimised assembly crypto
implementations, and side-channel resistance, among other things. He's
probably best known for working on SPHINCS signatures, the NewHope handshake,
McBits, and Ed25519.

He says there's a couple ideas for talks he could give:

 1) writing side-channel resistant code
 2) intro to post-quantum cryptography
 3) anything else people want to know about

From what I've seen of his lectures, I would assume these could be tailored
towards either more introductory material or for individuals with more
advanced skillsets. He's also happy to have the talk recorded and/or
live-streamed so that it can be shared with the broader hacker community.

Would this be something which interests people? Which talk would be more
interesting?

Best regards,
--
