Might also try removing the pump point of failure by inflating pools above
water, then ratcheting them to the boat and tightening the lines one by
one. Minimizes time underwater and probably lowers scuba gear cost.

Also probably want to attach the pools very securely to the ratchets so the
pool plastic doesn't tear. But hey, wild speculation...
