General description

As freelance Visual & User Interface designer you will develop the
aesthetics and experience of a complex suite of applications. This is a
contract position lasting approximately 2 months.

Attributes Desired:

- Passion for design and creative problem solving

- Motivation, decisiveness, organizational skills, efficiency and dedication

- Creative thinking, attention to detail and ability to turn projects in
a timely manner
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and provide fast
turnaround on tight deadlines

- Ability to think and respond quickly maintaining attention to detail

- Outstanding communication skills and responsiveness

- Ability and desire to work with rapidly changing requirements


Skills Required:
- Comprehensive understanding of interactivity, the Web and the latest
standards in Web 2.0 design patterns

- Graphic interface creation, including generating ready-for-production
screen layouts, buttons, icons, etc.

- Great eye for design to ensure visual consistency of applications in a
suite, including pixel-level detail, color consistency,

- Comprehensive understanding of interactivity, the Web and the latest
standards in Web 2.0 design patterns

- Design for robust, complex applications
- Well-developed communication skills including ability to articulate
creative concepts and rationale for team

- Mastery of all the latest design tools, platforms, and versions of
applicable software programs -- Mac OS, Photoshop and Illustrator, other


Preferred:
- Interaction design for product conception and development

- HTML and CSS knowledge, including cross-browser compliance, a plus
