> Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco is a college preparatory, co-educational day school serving approximately 440 students in San Francisco from grades 9-12. We are looking for teachers with a passion for design, craft and engineering, have their own practice and are eager to critically and creatively engage students in the process of making. We are looking for colleagues who are kind, thoughtful, energetic, innovative teachers, and all-around "school people" who want to participate in and contribute to our vibrant department and community. We encourage risk taking in our teaching practice while maintaining high standards, equity, and clear expectations for all students. Ideal candidates will have three years teaching experience, a master's degree in the Arts or equivalent, and significant woodworking training. Other strengths include: sketching and drafting, computer rendering, design thinking, sustainable building practices, promote invention and innovation, cross-disciplinary approaches to problem solving, inspire collaboration, interest in design for public purpose and service learning. A love of high school students, flexibility and a sense of humor are required.
