Hi Kids,
Let me tell you about this beautiful city on the Gulf Coast of the United States called "New Orleans". It was founded a long time ago by some fur traders or some shit. Time passed, and New Orleans became the envy of colonial powers: wars were waged over ownership of this strategic hamlet. Many French, Spanish, English and Puerto Ricans died to bring this city under their control. Then the Americans came to power and purchased the town outright from the English; at the time, the Limeys were still fascinated with glass beads, much to the enjoyment of the gloating yanks.
New Orleans is the birth place of the 3 day hangover, jazz, and hard-tek techno music. Every night, the night-blooming jasmines waft their delicate scent over the blunt percussive beat of 808s played by old-timers on their front porch. The food here is amazing too- chicken vindaloo, and pork lumpia are served at the corner store, and just about every "Yat" (local) has a favorite black ruffle-mousse recipe they are willing to share with absolute strangers.
Enough about how awesome this town is. We need a Rails developer or two or three at our company, and I thought that it might be best to query San Francisco. Your city is about to fall into the ocean anyway. Or get eaten by Godzilla (finally). Think about it.
Love,
Chrrrles (epsas on #noisebridge)
