As a PA-III level position, this is for a relatively-less-senior admin,
with an annual salary around $75,000.
Short version: work as a member of an eight-person team supporting
physical and virtual (VMware) servers on FreeBSD, Solaris, and RHEL;
some backup and storage work; possibly manage some services like AFS,
Kerberos, e-mail and Google Apps administration.

Job Summary:
Involves serving as the technical administrator for hardware, operating
systems, and network management. Plans and coordinates the installation,
configuration and testing of hardware and software components. Work may
involve central or departmental computer systems and networks. Includes
web systems administration.

Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into
practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field;
independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the
function; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems/issues of
diverse scope and determines solutions.
Custom Scope:
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced systems infrastructure
professional with a full understanding of industry practices and campus
policies and procedures; troubleshoots and resolves a wide range of
technical issues. Uses industry accepted coding standards to develop and
implement custom solutions for systems automation, integration and
reporting. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and
techniques for obtaining solutions. Member of the team supporting campus
enterprise systems and services within the UNIX Systems group.
