Have you not actually looked at the script? All it does is SSHes into
the dummy terminal on top of the shop wall which the hardware to operate
the gate is hooked up to, and runs another script there.

If you have a problem with pony not being reliable enough for your
needs, please copy the script to your local machine and run it there.
The password for that dummy terminal is on the wiki, it should also
exist in your dead tree version too.
