[Rack] something wrong with minotaur - read-only file system

i can't even tell what drive is what on that thing.  I thought there was a 
laptop drive mounted in an external enclosure, is that the only drive?

why is it sdb?  shouldn't it be sda if it's the boot drive?

are SSD's more reliable than regular hard drives?  What about a nice 3.5" 
desktop drive?
