Hi Rack!
I was poking and prodding around the Noisebridge web infrastructure today
and noticed what I believe to be a minor misconfiguration with
lists.noisebridge.net.
If you go to lists.noisebridge.net over HTTPS[1], you surprisingly won't
get the mailing lists, but instead a fancy error message informing you that
there is a hostname mismatch and that, and I quote[2] directly from Google
Chrome, "shit's broken". Once you tell Chrome "Nah, it's cool man"[3], you
are surprisingly NOT given the mailing lists, but the wiki instead.
I believe this to be the result of an overzealously applied wildcard in the
HTTPS section of the webserver configuration.
For reference, and historical preservation in case someone is reading this
mail in the year 2431, http://lists.noisebridge.net currently redirects to
https://www.noisebridge.net/mailman/listinfo.
