    As to laser ventilation, I think I have a solution: 
a sliding sheet (of plywood or some such) that moves 
over the doorway, a gizmo over the interior "window" 
that lets air flow from the space into the room but not 
the in other direction, and open the exterior window. 
    by itself that scheme might do the trick, given the 
low-pressure outside of the east side of the building. 

    As to improving lighting in the sewing area, I may 
be around for a little bit before noon and will surely 
be around after around 3:30 or so. Grab me and make me 
do things.
