What normally happens is the first people to arrive wander around a little
looking for other members of the group.  Once we have critical mass, we
grab a set of tables, usually somewhere in the middle of the seating area.
This strategy has worked remarkably well at Westfield (although it failed
miserably at Ferry Terminal Building).
