   anyone got tho'ts on PC/104?

   briefly, if you haven't worked with this, it's a spec 
for a form factor and interconnect bus. 
   a pc/104 system typically comprises a power supply 
card, above which is a CPU card, above which is a 
storage card, above which may be more cards. 
   each card is 5.25 inches on each side and supports 
a bus that extends vertically to allow inter-card 
communication. the form factor specifies locations for 
stand-offs near each corner. 
   typical systems have standard pc chipsets (display, 
ethernet, wifi...) and can run linux, have low power 
requirements, and are suitable for remote locations in 
hermetically sealed housings. 
   design mentality is basically that of a laptop.
