You can't unless you file 1040 schedule A and itemize your deductions.
 I don't know how you and yours are filing, but you need to have a
minimum of $5700 in deductions -- possibly more -- for itemizing your
deductions to make any sense.  You might have some kind of exception
to this rule, though, so ask whoever does your taxes to know for sure.
