With proper anchoring, domes will stay put on the ground even in very
high winds.   From the general discussion on the channel, and some of
the email traffic, it sounds like a toorcamp 'survival guide' may have
to be put togehter for next year.   Burning Man ( and related regional
) events have had guides for some time now, and it helps set
expectations and improves preparation of participants massively.

Domes have the attractive feature that they enclose a large volume of
space for very little material.   Yurts when built with care, don't
cover nearly as much space but are very good for housing since they
incorporate ventilation through convection and are well insulated.
