I'm doing my homework for our interview with RMS. Right now I'm in the
midst of reading these in order:

articles provide important background.  This is especially important
for anyone who cannot come to my speech first.

It appears RMS would actually encourage us to make a recording of our
interview on Monday. Here's a quote from his "Rider for Public
Appearances."

"Please ask each journalist to agree to make a recording of the
interview. Written notes tend to simplify, and often lead to
incorrect quotes."

Does someone have a recording device that matches his specifications? Do a
search on the NB-Discuss thread for Richard Stallman and I think you'll
find the source I took this info from. He's very particular about the way
he wants his words recorded & dissseminated. I'm gaining respect for the
man, though. He's clearly one of those rare people who has very high
principles & lives by them without compromise, as much as possible.
