Hi John,

I am Andrew Defries' friend, I met with the Digital Archivists a couple
times. It's been a while since we spoke, a lot has been shifting on my end.
I am writing because I have a digital archiving problem and I wonder if you
might know of a solution.

I am recently employed by a professor at SFSU to digitize his library of
old-fashioned pictures slides, which we were planning to digitize using the
college's slide scanner, in the college's slide library. We have
discovered, however, that the scanner stands behind a wall of bureaucratic
nonsense that may not be worth going through. I wonder if you have access
to or know how I might get access to a slide duplicator or film scanner.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

All the best,
Brandon Hopkins
