Today I had time to talk with Jim, Miloh, Zedd, Rachel, and last Sunday
I worked with Shannon in the space. I am beginning to think I have a
sense of the group's skills as a building team.

I want to strongly recommend that Zedd be put in the role of
coordinating the building projects. I recommend that Noisebridge offer
Zedd money to commute from Pittsburgh and a daily stipend, something
like fifty bucks a day. Zedd's experience doing the many relevant
trades: framer, plumber, electrical, counter top fabricator, floor tile
layer, wood floor finisher, and painter, are only the basic reasons for
my strong recommendation. The more important reasons are that he is
skilled at communication and at integrating ideas, has owned his own
remodeling business and seems to have a good sense of how to realize
various people's interests. He can help the teams learn quickly and
avoid mistakes. And he can help the various team's work fit together.

I want to underline this by saying that we have already made some rather
large mistakes and that, as things stand, we are planning on making more
mistakes this weekend.

Zedd coordinating this process will radically reduce the number of
mistakes we make.

I say this mainly because I know the care I want to put into the
electrical and especially to a modest theater and presentation space but
I have little confidence that I will be able to realize this vision
without a more intelligent process for decision making. Zedd is someone
who I think can be of great service to me in helping this vision come
about.

I also saw the care that Miloh wants to put into the kitchen and that he
will do a fine job of, but that he needs support from plumbing,
electrical, tile, and the community as a whole, which I think he will
get if he can go to Zedd to help coordinate and solve problems.

I would like to move this for the agenda at the next meeting.

They further concluded that at least 8 detainees in US custody were
tortured to death. Steven Miles, reporting in this journal, put the
number of deaths due to torture at 17, with 11 cases occurring in Iraq
and 6 occurring in Afghanistan.[8]

Many of these deaths involved torture or abuse related to harsh
interrogations of the detainees by US personnel.
