Okay awesome, as long as the existing key code is not 2>x>0 to the 83c
code we are can master the lock. Or in other words, the codes can't be
only one pin high number apart. The drawback with mastering being that
non-colliding pins result in keycodes that are nor existing 2169, 83c,
codes that can then open the gate. It's it also makes it a bit easier
to pick the lock.

Ah ha, if we do get an electric striker plate then we could have a 83c
keyed external switch that opens the el-striker!

When I used to do lock stuff we always got our stuff from Wilco :
wilcosupply.com‎ on Telegraph near the OAK/BERK border. They have
_everything_ when it comes to locks. I'm not sure if they are any good
anymore, but about 4 years ago ~$100 would get you a pretty decent
Schlage(R) lockset.
