my 2 cents is that we should tread carefully - in an international context
the whole emperor norton thing is not as funny. Someone who doesn't know
the inside joke and doesn't know where NOPErs are coming from could
interpret it as "american imperialism ftw! yayyeah!" and/or mocking the
more serious political activism also present at camp.
