[CQ] 2 meter radio donation for NB?

I have an old Kenwood TH-215A 2 meter HT that I haven't used in many years.
It's redundant now since I have a newer Kenwood TH-F6A tri-bander. The one
problem this radio had was that the contacts for the keypad had become
oxidized after having sat idle for so long, which meant that almost none of
the buttons worked anymore. Luckily this proved to be easy to fix, and it
seems to be working ok once again. All toghether, I have the following:
- TH-215A radio
- Generic "rubber duck" antenna (original antenna is missing)
- SMC-30 speaker microphone
- DC power cable
- Standard "wall wart" battery charger
- Drop-in battery charger (with additional wall wart)
- Standard 500 mAh battery (working)
- Second standard 500 mAh batter (possibly dead, doesn't seem to charge)
- High capacity 1600 mAh battery (working)
I don't have the original owner's manual for it, but it's available online
here:
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/UserFiles/File/UnitedStates/Communications/AMA/Manuals/TH-215.pdf
The radio will transmit 5 watts in high power mode. With a decent antenna on
the roof at 2169, this should yield pretty good area coverage. The downside
is that it's 2 meters only.
Would this be a valuable donation for NB to have? If so, I can bear to part
with it, since otherwise it would just keep gathering dust.
Oh, I also have a Yaesu FT-50 HT that was given to me a while ago. I think
this radio still works, but I suspect the battery charger is broken. With
this radion, I have:
- FT-50 transceiver, with standard battery pack
- Additional high capacity battery pack
- Battery charger "wall ward"
- Battery charger drop-in platform
- Carry case/cover for the radio
I think the battery charger is broken: the LED lights up when you plug a
battery in, but the batteries never seem to charge. The radio has a DC input
jack where you can plug in the wall wart, and that allows you to power up the
radio, but it doesn't transmit in this configuration (I don't think the wall
wart can provide the necessary current). I don't know how to use this radio
however (I've never operated it myself). If someone wants to take a stab at
making it work, they're welcome to it.
