I'd love to chat on 2m sometime. I haven't been active in a while.

Last I tested, I could hit the N6NFI repeater from my roof in the Inner
Richmond. Kinda spotty coverage elsewhere in SF.
They have a cool DTMF-triggered signal meter to let you know how well
you're hitting the input to boot.

I've rarely been able to hear W6CX's FM repeater (can hear the
digipeater at times) except by the eastern shoreline and the east bay.
