I think it's a clear demonstration of not on the maturity of the 
open-source software scene, but also a testimate to how much talent 
people who are doing open source have.  It'd only been a week or so 
since MS put the Kinect on sale, and we've got open source gesture, 
multi-touch, and object recognition working!

If I didn't already have more projects than I need (or have time for) 
I'd totally be buying a Kinect and hacking around with it.
