Eric Gradman has transformed a http://looxcie.com/ camera and mechanical 
turk into a device which helps him remember people.  Specifically, after 
he's been talking with a new person for a bit, he presses a button on 
the looxcie, this saves the last 30 seconds of video.  This video is 
then uploaded to the internet, and (Amazons) mechanical turk is used get 
a transcript of the conversation, including any names mentioned, and to 
obtain the best single image of the person.  This info is combined with 
the date&time into a "Facecard", which Eric can review at his leisure, 
increasing the odds that he'll remember the face and name later.

It's not the heads-up display name-hovering system that everyone dreams 
of, but perhaps it's "good enough"?  I'd love to use it, that's for sure!
