I agree, good anesthetic IS hard to come by, though autoclaves aren't.
Sterilizing with vodka is dumb, it still has remnant sugars. Rubbing
alchohol is cheaper, too.
I like what she's doing  on principle but I'd hate if this becomes a fad in
transhumanism.
